We are market leaders in the design, development and manufacture of helix travelling wave tubes (TWTs), travelling wave tube amplifiers (TWTAs) and microwave power modules (MPMs).
TWTs remain the best source for the efficient generation of microwave power over broad frequency bandwidths. Technological advances have enabled them to become smaller, lighter and more efficient than ever.
Modern TWTs are designed to sustain at least 20,000 hours of continuous operation. Many of our devices have been in service for three to five times longer than this.
Our state-of-the-art technology is used on nearly all of the major electronic warfare, radar and communication platforms across the world and a wide range of military applications.
Our TWTs and TWTAs are among the smallest but most powerful in their class. They span a wide frequency range from 4.5 to 18GHz, with average power levels ranging from 100 to 300W.
Our MTA2000 series of MPMs deliver high power over an extremely wide band, with options covering 2-18GHz and providing more than 125W. They combine a mini-helix TWT with a solid-state pre-amplifier, an optimised high-density power supply and control circuitry in a compact, rugged package that has been designed for applications across land, sea and air.
As well as standard devices, we often work with customers to develop bespoke, scalable products that can be integrated seamlessly into their own system architecture.

Our TWTs and MPMs have been developed in close partnership with manufacturers and the armed forces to protect assets and detect threats across land, air and sea.
They are an essential part of the radio-frequency jammers that are used to automatically defeat or degrade the tracking capability of hostile radars, including surface-to air and air-to-air guided threats. They offer outstanding performance for both airborne radars and missile seekers.
Our devices are engineered to the very highest standards to guarantee performance and reliability in complex and hostile environments. Every unit is tested over military-standard shock, vibration and temperature profiles and undergoes rigorous environmental stress screening.
