e2v, the global provider of high performance imaging solutions, and TowerJazz, the global specialty foundry leader, today announced the increased production of e2v’s Ruby low light CMOS imaging sensors and the ELiiXA+ high speed, multi-line scan camera using TowerJazz’s advanced CMOS Image Sensor (CIS) technology.
e2v offers market leading systems and sensors integrating high end CMOS design for high performance imaging solutions. e2v’s imaging products allow for greater integration as well as significantly reduced system illumination costs and very low-light imaging in outdoor camera applications.
The Combination of e2v’s innovative solutions with the high performance manufacturing capabilities of TowerJazz has opened up new possibilities at system and sensor level, with the introduction of new System-on-Chip (SoC) and camera generations with innovative embedded features to address demanding applications.
Based on a strong relationship established over the last 6 years, e2v has been progressively increasing production, using TowerJazz’s advanced Fab2, to match demand for their advanced imaging sensor solutions. The ELiiXA+ line scan camera range and the Ruby family of imaging sensors were introduced in Nov 2011 and Sept 2011 respectively and demonstrate the successful relationship between e2v and TowerJazz.
