Teledyne e2v, an aerospace qualified manufacturer of advanced semiconductors, will showcase its Qormino® line of product running in its complete ecosystem of partners. At Electronica (13-16 November in Munich), Qormino will be demonstrated in an environment 100% similar to how it will be used in a real Aerospace product application. Qormino will be running a third-party Real-Time Operating System, a Modelling & Simulation S/W and the drivers of the specific graphic card connected to Qormino.
With Qormino a smart, small and powerful packaged common computer platform, Teledyne e2v combined NXP QorIQ® processors based on PowerPC or ARM®, with DDR4 memory on Teledyne e2v’s custom substrates, designed to respond to SWaP (Size, Weight and Power) constraints and offering:
- High performance packed into a small substrate
- Reduced system design time, improving time-to-market
- 15+ years availability for obsolescence management
Qormino QT1040-4GB, based on NXP QorIQ T1040 (Quad Core PowerPC) and 4GB of DDR4 is sampling today. Reference platforms are available to customers for development and evaluation. Linux as well as multiple Real Time Operating systems are part of the rich ecosystem supporting Teledyne e2v Qormino. The newer generation, QLS1046-4GB, based on NXP QorIQ LS1046 (Quad Cortex ARM A72) will be sampling in Q1 2019.
Qormino brings to Space, Aerospace & Defense markets Highest Computing performances in the smallest footprint (44x26mm), a strong reuse capability and a rich pre-validated S/W Ecosystem.
